Being called a "Strong Black Woman" isn’t the badge of honor it used to be.

These days, it feels more like a weight than a symbol of pride. We were taught that strength meant enduring pain and carrying trauma in silence.
I wrote 7 Dirty Secrets of a Strong Black Woman because the version of strength passed down to us is toxic. It took a breakdown for me to realize that years of fixing everyone else's problems while ignoring my own had left me living a double life—strong on the outside, but broken on the inside.
This book is my unfiltered truth -- my memoir. I'm exposing the secrets that keep us trapped. It’s time to redefine strength. It’s not about how much we can bear—it’s about how much we refuse to.
